SCSD was founded in 2007 by Carla Coleman and Lori Fowler. Their combined experience in the areas of rescue dogs, service dogs, persons with physical disabilities, non-profit organizations, and community networking have created a solid foundation for SCSD.

Veterinary assistance through sponsorships or discounts for our dogs in training is greatly appreciated. We have high standards for the health and well-being of our service dog candidates and this is a wonderful way to help dogs help people! Our Wish List includes crates, collars, leashes, Frontline and Heartgard, approved training treats and high quality dog food, dog bowls, office supplies, gas cards, and many other things necessary for the day to day training and operation of our organization.
